Dr. Subramani Ramakrishnan is a highly experienced IT professional with over 20 years of industry experience in software development, project management, strategy development, quality, operations, talent acquisition, and resource management. He started his career with IBM India as a Graduate Hire in 1997 and has since played multiple roles across functions in the organization. Subbu has the distinction of leading a first-of-a-kind project for IBM in India, where he was responsible for setting up Telecom product test labs and transforming client’s test operations. As a Certified Software Quality Analyst, PMI Certified PMP, IBM Certified Senior Project Manager, and an accredited IBM Project Management Trainer, Subbu has led the Quality Program responsible for Quality Assurance and Control for all projects delivered from IBM India GBS Delivery Centre and led the team for multiple ISO 9001 Audits and Enterprise Level CMMI Assessment. He is presently leading the Professional Hiring Program, responsible for talent acquisition, training, and project deployment for campus graduates and experienced professionals. Subbu has an excellent academic record, with a University Rank in his Engineering from the University of Madras, Gold Medalist – Rank 1 from IIM Bangalore in his PG Program in Software Enterprise Management, M.B.A (Finance) and M.A (Psychology) with distinction, and a PhD in Management. He is also a visiting faculty member, regular speaker in academic forums, and Member - Board of Studies of various educational institutions, and strives for bridging the industry-academia gap. In addition to his professional and academic achievements, Subbu has recently co-authored a book SHAPE IT, which helps budding engineers to develop life-skills required to survive and succeed at the workplace. He is currently the Director of Workforce Management at IBM and has previously held positions such as Lead, Resource & Capacity Management, and Head, Delivery Quality. Subbu's technical skills include test, QA, and software engineering. He has relevant experience of 8.69 years.
